Explore the natural beauty of the Ohio & Erie Canal in the 2022 Canoe Adventure
Akron- Explore the natural, historical and recreational resources on Summit Lake and the Ohio & Erie Canal in this one-of-a-kind canoeing experience on Saturday, July 16th, 2022. Participants in Canoe Adventure will receive a guided interpretive tour of Summit Lake and portions of the Ohio & Erie Canal. The cost will be $30 for adults and $10 for children under twelve years of age. All equipment is provided, along with drinks and refreshments. Interpretive guides will provide an update on the Ohio & Erie Canalway, Towpath Trail and connector trails.
Participants will meet at the Summit Lake Park pavilion, located at 390 W. Crosier St. Akron, Ohio 44311. Groups of no more than five canoes will depart in staggered timeslots between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Participants will be able to sign up for their preferred timeslot by visiting our registration page at https://www.ohioeriecanal.org/events/canoe-adventure. Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and space in each group is limited.
