(September 16, 2024) The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition was awarded an Enbridge Gas Ohio Fueling Futures grant of $10,000 for the Ohio & Erie Canalway Environmental Stewardship Program. The Enbridge Fueling Futures program energizes communities through initiatives that strengthen community safety, vibrancy and sustainability. 

The Environmental Stewardship Program engages neighborhood residents and youth in the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and Canal Cleanups from November 2024 to June 2025 in structured programs that are safe, welcoming and encourage responsibility and environmental stewardship to improve the habitat along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition's Canal Cleanups remove nearly 3 tons of trash annually from our parks, trails and public spaces to keep our communities healthy and vibrant for all to enjoy.
